Hello! Thank you for your interest in becoming a nanny for our family. We wanted to introduce ourselves and share a little more about our family and what we are looking for.

We are an American family spending time in Grecia, Costa Rica, with our 1-year-old daughter. She is a happy, curious, and active little girl who loves to play, explore, listen to music, look at books, and interact with the people around her.

While in Costa Rica, we will not be working outside of the home. However, we will be engaged in various personal, professional, and family activities, so we are looking for someone who can provide dedicated care for our daughter approximately 20–25 hours per week. We may often be at home or nearby during your working hours, but we want her nanny to be comfortable independently managing her care and routine while we are occupied.

We are looking for someone who is loving, patient, dependable, trustworthy, and genuinely enjoys spending time with young children. We hope to find a nanny who will build a warm relationship with our daughter and become someone she feels safe, comfortable, and excited to spend time with.

We are looking for more than basic supervision. We would like her nanny to be actively engaged with her throughout the day through play, reading, music, outdoor exploration, conversation, and age-appropriate educational activities. We would love for you to help her learn through everyday experiences—colors, numbers, animals, body parts, songs, movement, sensory activities, fine and gross motor activities, and other developmentally appropriate learning opportunities. We prefer active engagement rather than television or other screens.

One of our most important goals while living in Costa Rica is for our daughter to develop Spanish naturally. **We are specifically looking for a nanny who will speak to her exclusively in Spanish.** We speak English with her, so we would like her time with her nanny to provide consistent Spanish immersion. This means speaking Spanish with her during play, meals, diaper changes, walks, reading, songs, learning activities, and everyday routines. Communication with us as parents can be in English or Spanish.

Her daily care will include diaper changes, preparing and giving age-appropriate meals and snacks, following her nap routine, playing with her, and keeping the areas and items used during her care clean and organized. Her safety and well-being are always our highest priorities.

We value open communication and would like our nanny to feel comfortable sharing how our daughter is doing, what she ate, how she slept, activities she enjoyed, new things she is learning, and any concerns. We also value reliability and punctuality because we will plan our activities around the nanny's scheduled hours.

Although this is a professional position, we want the relationship to feel warm and respectful. Anyone caring for our daughter is being trusted with someone incredibly important to us, and we want our nanny to feel respected and appreciated as well.

## Spanish Immersion / Inmersión en Español

**We want our daughter to learn Spanish naturally through daily interaction. The nanny must speak to our daughter exclusively in Spanish throughout the day**, including during play, meals, reading, learning activities, and everyday routines.

An important part of this position is providing **age-appropriate early learning activities in Spanish** throughout the day.

Formal teaching experience is not required, but we want someone who is intentional about learning and actively engages with our daughter rather than relying on screens.
