I am writing to express my interest in the Care assistant vacancy. I have experience providing medical assistance, companionship, and general living support to residents at a reputable care home, I would be an invaluable addition to your team.
For the past year, I’ve been working as a care assistant, where I provide care and companionship to children, youth and 30+ elderly residents, many of whom have become dear friends. In addition to providing a helping hand with meals, medication administration, personal hygiene, and recreation, to people (children, youth and elderly) living with learning disabilities, dementia, dysphagia, autism, I.C.U, brain emergency, complex care (with the use of stoma, tracheostomy, Ventilator (trachy vent and face mask vent) usage and readings, also Gastro-PEG feeding), I also co-ordinate visits and keep stock of medications and other inventory.
My ability to balance the administrative and care functions of this job attest to my excellent multitasking skills in hospital, support, and care home settings; which would be an asset to a larger care centre such as your own.
