Dear Host Family,

My name is Audience, and I am a 25-year-old from the beautiful town of Masvingo in Zimbabwe! I am so excited to share a little piece of my life with you and express how much I look forward to becoming a meaningful part of your family.

Currently, I live with my wonderful mom and my energetic 11-year-old nephew. I have been helping raise him since he was five years old—from getting him ready for school on crisp mornings to guiding him through his homework every afternoon. Watching him grow and thrive has been one of the greatest joys of my life, and it naturally sparked my passion for working with children.

Over the years, my experience with kids has grown in so many rewarding ways. I regularly babysit for my neighbors, creating a safe and happy routine while their parents are at work. I also had the delightful experience of volunteering at a local preschool for three months, where I led sensory play, interactive outdoor activities, and creative games. At church, I serve as an assistant Sunday school teacher, which allows me to connect with children on a deeper, nurturing level every weekend.

To support my passion for understanding and helping people, I am currently studying Counseling and Psychology through an online institute here in Zimbabwe. Alongside my studies, I hold an O-Level high school certificate, a valid passport, an active driver’s license, and certificates in Assistant Nursing and First Aid. Safety, empathy, and care are at the very core of everything I do.

When I’m not spending time with family or studying, you’ll usually find me cooking up delicious meals, going on peaceful nature walks, listening to inspiring podcasts, or catching up on my favorite TV shows. I love traveling, exploring new places, and trying out new sports, tennis is my current favourite challenge!

Becoming an Au Pair is a dream come true for me. I am eager to immerse myself in a new culture, share my own Zimbabwean warmth, and travel to new horizons. More than anything, I want to build a genuine, lasting bond with your family, not just as a reliable caregiver, but as a loving big sister your children can look up to and confide in.
