Dear Potential Host Family,

My name is Natily, and I am a caring, responsible and enthusiastic young woman from South Africa who is excited about the opportunity to become an au pair and become a positive part of a welcoming family.

Growing up with younger siblings has given me valuable personal experience in caring for children and understanding the importance of patience, kindness, responsibility and attentiveness. One of my siblings has special needs, which has helped me appreciate that every child is unique and may require a different approach, additional understanding and individual attention. This experience has taught me the importance of being patient, adaptable and compassionate, and I would be happy to support children with special needs while continuing to learn how best to meet their individual needs.

I enjoy being someone children can feel comfortable around and believe that every child deserves to feel safe, valued and supported. I would love the opportunity to contribute to a child's development by helping with daily routines, encouraging creativity, supporting learning and participating in fun, age-appropriate activities. I believe I am very creative and outgoing and that children naturally gravitate towards me.

In addition to my family experience, I have developed strong communication, teamwork and organisational skills through my involvement in school leadership. Serving as a Prefect and House Captain has taught me to take responsibility, show initiative, work well with others and approach challenges with a positive attitude. I am also eager to learn and willing to complete relevant childcare and first-aid training to strengthen my skills.

Becoming an au pair appeals to me because it would allow me to make a meaningful contribution to a family's everyday life while learning about a new culture and growing as a person. I understand that welcoming an au pair into your home requires trust, honesty, respect and open communication. I would do my best to respect your family's routines and parenting preferences while helping your children feel cared for, encouraged and supported.
