1. About Me

Hello, dear host family! ??

My name is Milly, I am 26 years old, and I come from Rwanda, a beautiful country in East Africa known as the Land of a Thousand Hills. I am a friendly, caring, patient, and responsible person who enjoys meeting new people, learning about different cultures, and creating beautiful memories with the people around me.

I believe that kindness, respect, honesty, and love are important in every relationship. I enjoy helping others, learning new things, and making people feel comfortable and appreciated. I always try to bring positive energy wherever I go, and I believe that even the smallest acts of kindness can make someone’s day special.

Life has taught me to be strong, grateful, and appreciative of the people I love. I lost my beloved mother in 2024, which was one of the most difficult experiences of my life. Although I miss her deeply, her memory reminds me of the importance of love, family, patience, and caring for others. This experience has helped me appreciate every moment I share with the people I love and has inspired me to build meaningful relationships with others.

I am excited about the opportunity to become an Au Pair because I want to grow personally, discover a new culture, and become part of a family where we can learn from each other and share wonderful experiences.

2. My Family and Friends ???????????

Family is one of the most important parts of my life. I come from a family-oriented background, and I truly enjoy spending quality time with my relatives, cousins, and friends. We love talking, laughing, sharing stories, celebrating special occasions, and supporting each other through both happy and challenging moments.

I especially enjoy the beautiful moments when we are all together, because they remind me that happiness often comes from simple things: sharing a meal, playing together, telling stories, or simply being there for one another.

Being around my younger relatives has also taught me the importance of patience, understanding, and creating a safe and happy environment for children. I believe children deserve to feel loved, listened to, respected, and encouraged to express themselves.

If I become part of your family, I would love to learn about your family traditions, participate in your daily activities, and share some of my Rwandan culture with you. I hope we can build a relationship based on trust, respect, and genuine care, so that I feel like a member of your family rather than just a visitor.

3. My Hobbies ??

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, listening to music, watching interesting movies, taking pictures, exploring new places, and learning new skills.

I also enjoy cooking and discovering different foods. I would be happy to introduce my host family to some Rwandan dishes and learn how to prepare your family’s favorite meals.

I love learning languages and discovering how people from different countries live, celebrate, and communicate. I find it exciting to learn something new every day, whether it is a new word, a recipe, a cultural tradition, or a practical skill.

I also enjoy activities that bring people together, especially spending time outdoors, playing games, laughing, and creating happy memories. I believe these simple moments can make family life more enjoyable and strengthen relationships.

I would love to share some of these hobbies with your family and children, depending on their ages and interests. Whether we are reading a story, drawing, playing games, preparing a simple meal, or going for a walk, I would enjoy making our time together fun and meaningful.

4. Why I Want to Become an Au Pair ????

Becoming an Au Pair is a dream I would love to turn into reality because it offers me the opportunity to combine my love for family life, my interest in children, and my desire to discover a new culture.

I do not see this experience as simply travelling to another country. I see it as an opportunity to become part of a family, learn from each other, share our traditions, and create a bond that we can remember for many years.

I would love to improve my language skills, become more independent, discover new ways of life, and develop personally while contributing positively to my host family’s daily life. I understand that being an Au Pair requires responsibility, patience, flexibility, respect, and a willingness to learn, and I am ready to approach this experience with an open heart and a positive attitude.

Most importantly, I hope to create a special connection with my host family and become someone you can trust, communicate with openly, and feel comfortable having in your home.
