Good Day, Future Host Family!

Hello! My name is Cristine, I’m 24 years old, and I’m currently from the Philippines.

If you’re wondering why you should consider me as an Au Pair, I would say that caring for children is something that has been a natural part of my life for many years.

Here’s a little trivia about me: I am the eldest daughter in my family. Since my younger siblings were born, I have always been aware and observant of how to take care of them. Growing up, I learned how to be patient with them, help them with their needs, keep an eye on them, and be someone they could depend on. Even now that we are older, I still help take care of my siblings and make sure that they are doing well.

And my experience with children didn’t stop there. About three years ago, my cousin was born, and I also became involved in helping take care of my aunt and the newborn baby. I remember how much attention and patience a newborn needs. I helped my aunt whenever I could and spent time caring for my little cousin. That experience made me appreciate even more how special and meaningful it is to care for a child, especially during their early years.

Because of these experiences, I’ve learned that childcare is not simply about watching a child. It’s about being attentive, understanding their needs, being patient when they are having difficult moments, and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved.

I also have experience caring for children of different ages, as well as experience in teaching. I enjoy helping children learn and discover new things. Whether it’s helping with schoolwork, playing with them, doing creative activities, or simply talking and listening to them, I want to make them feel encouraged and supported.

Aside from childcare, I love cooking and baking. I enjoy preparing food for the people I love, and I would be very happy to share some Filipino dishes with my future host family. For me, food is also a way of sharing my culture and making people feel at home. At the same time, I’m excited to learn your family’s traditions, culture, and favorite dishes.

I understand that being an Au Pair is a big responsibility. I will be living in a new environment, becoming part of another family, and caring for what is most important to them—their children. That is something I will always treat with respect and responsibility.

I know I’m not perfect, and I still have many things to learn. But I am willing to listen, adapt, communicate, and grow. I believe my experiences as an older sister, a cousin, and someone who has cared for children of different ages have helped me become more patient, responsible, and nurturing.

For me, becoming an Au Pair is not only about traveling to another country. It is about building trust, sharing cultures, learning from one another, and becoming part of a family.

So, why should you consider me?

Because I’m someone who has grown up learning how to care for others. I’m someone who genuinely enjoys being around children. I’m willing to learn, ready to take responsibility, and excited to share a part of my Filipino culture with my future host family.

Most importantly, I will bring not only my experience, but also my patience, sincerity, kindness, and heart.
