Hello families!

My name is Cindy, and I am a native Spanish speaker from Costa Rica with extensive experience working with children, teenagers, and adults in educational settings. I have been teaching Spanish since 2006 and have worked with students from different countries and backgrounds.

I am interested in working with an international or expatriate family where I can combine childcare with Spanish language immersion, tutoring, and educational activities.

What makes my approach special is that I do not see childcare and learning as separate activities. Children can learn naturally through conversation, games, stories, creative activities, routines, and everyday situations. If you would like your child to develop Spanish naturally while being cared for in a safe and positive environment, I would be happy to help.

I can speak Spanish with your children throughout the day and adapt the activities to their age, personality, interests, and level of Spanish. For younger children, I can use songs, stories, games, simple conversations, and hands-on activities. For school-age children, I can also provide homework support, reading and writing practice, grammar assistance, and conversational Spanish.

I have extensive experience adapting educational activities to different learning needs and learning styles. My background also includes experience working with children who need additional educational support, so I understand the importance of patience, clear instructions, routines, encouragement, and adapting activities to each child's individual needs.

I enjoy creating a calm, respectful, and encouraging environment where children feel comfortable communicating and learning. I believe that children learn best when they feel safe, listened to, and motivated.

In addition to childcare and Spanish tutoring, I am open to helping with homework, educational activities, reading, simple crafts, children's routines, errands related to the children, and light household tasks connected to their care. I can also help families who would like their children to maintain a connection with Costa Rican Spanish and culture.

I am responsible, patient, organized, caring, and committed to providing reliable care. I understand that choosing someone to care for your children is an important decision, and I am happy to communicate openly with parents about expectations, routines, schedules, and the children's individual needs.

I would especially enjoy working with an international family living in Costa Rica who would like their children to learn or improve their Spanish through everyday interaction rather than only through traditional lessons.
