Dear Host Family,

My name is Kaja, I am 19 years old and I come from Germany. I live in Magdeburg and I have a very close relationship with my parents, siblings and friends. In my free time, I enjoy going to the gym, meeting friends, listening to music, drawing and spending time outdoors. I also really enjoy cooking and baking.

I have always enjoyed spending time with children and have gained several years of experience in childcare. I have looked after children between approximately 2 and 15 years old, both within my family and among friends. I also completed a three-week internship in a fourth-grade primary school. During my childcare experience, I have often looked after children independently. My responsibilities included playing with them, drawing and doing creative activities, going to the playground, helping with homework, preparing and sharing meals, and helping with small everyday tasks. It is important to me that children feel comfortable, have fun and are well cared for at the same time.

I really enjoy being around children because they are honest, curious and full of energy. I love being creative with them, discovering new games, building LEGO, spending time outdoors or simply laughing and having fun together.

In the future, I would like to discover new cultures, improve my language skills and gain many new experiences. For me, becoming an au pair is a wonderful opportunity to become part of a family, take on responsibility and learn more about another country and its everyday life.
