Hello! My name is Rachelle, and I am from the Philippines. I am a caring, patient, responsible, and family-oriented person who genuinely enjoys being around children. I am a graduate of Bachelor of Elementary Education, and I currently work part-time as an online English as a Second Language teacher. I have been teaching ESL for two years, primarily to children from China.
My background in education and my experience working with children have helped me develop patience, understanding, creativity, and good communication skills. In my online classes, I work with learners with different personalities and learning needs. I enjoy making lessons fun and engaging, building rapport with children, and helping them feel comfortable and confident while learning.
My love for taking care of children also comes from my own family. I grew up helping take care of my younger brothers and cousins. My dad worked overseas when I was growing up, so my mom was the one who took care of us most of the time. She was sweet and caring, but also firm and strong when it came to teaching us discipline, responsibility, and good values. We also had assigned chores at home, which taught me how to help with household responsibilities and work together as a family.
I am interested in becoming an au pair because I would love to experience living with a family from another country, learn about a different culture, and share my own Filipino culture and traditions with you. More importantly, I would love to be someone your children can feel comfortable with, trust, and enjoy spending time with.
I understand that being an au pair is a responsibility, and I am willing to help with childcare, playtime, learning activities, children's routines, and appropriate household tasks. I am also willing to learn and respect your family's rules, routines, and way of doing things.
